Fresh off collecting his first Porsche round win at Queensland Raceway, the teenager will make his debut in the Queensland Off-Road Racing Championship.
The third-generation racer will pilot the family-owned Tatum AK47 Pro Buggy that recently finished fifth in class in the 50th Finke Desert Race.
Lincoln’s grandfather Nev Taylor founded Team Taylor in the late 1970s and was part of off-road racing folklore.
The buggy is the last vehicle his grandfather piloted before his passing in 2020.
Under the guidance of his father Clayton and uncles Ryan and Michael, Lincoln will race at the Emervale Off Road Short Course near Esk, north-west of Brisbane.
“When Dad said there was a chance to race the buggy this weekend, I was over the moon,” said Lincoln.

“Even though I’m now heavily in circuit racing I’ve spent a lifetime of being around off-road racing growing up with my Poppy Nev and uncle Ryan so this weekend will be pretty surreal.
“It’s a very special car being not only my uncle’s regular racer that he just competed in at Finke, but also it was the last car my Poppy ever competed in before he passed away a few years ago. So it will be like he’s riding with me.
“I’m very proud to be carrying on their legacy but I’m also under strict instructions to bring the car back in one piece because uncle Ryan is racing it in the Gundy 500 in August!”
Lincoln’s rise followed multiple state karting championships in his native Queensland, stepping into circuit racing via Formula 4, Hyundai Excels, and Toyota 86 racing with TekworkX Motorsport.
After narrowly missing the 2025 Toyota GR Cup title to Oli Wickham with the Walkinshaw Foundation Academy, Lincoln made the step into one-make Porsche racing, reuniting with TekworkX.
While heavily entrenched in the circuit racing fray, the only other time Lincoln has participated in an off-road event was at the age of 12 alongside his uncle Ryan.
“I feel that all my racing in circuit racing has definitely helped build my foundations as a driver, so even though the Pro Buggy is much bigger and heavier than the Porsche, I know the mechanics of being behind the wheel will be the same,” Lincoln added.
“I’m not really focussing on the results so much, but more wanting to really enjoy the moment, have some fun out in the dirt and make memories with my family.
“Off-road racing is all about family and the memories I have of growing up around places like Finke cleaning Poppy’s car means so much because we all get to race together.
“There’s only one time that I can make my debut so I’m going to savour every moment this weekend.”
Round 5 of the Queensland Off-Road Racing Championship will be held on June 20-21 at the Emervale Short Course in Esk, Queensland.
Lincoln’s next appearance in his rookie season of Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge will be on the streets of Townsville in July.
